Samsung reportedly may not use the Exynos system-on-chip (SoC) in its latest smartphone models until the Galaxy S27 series. Sources state that Samsung is facing challenges with Exynos performance compared to Snapdragon chips. So, what should you know about it?

For your information, Samsung is said to have decided to continue using Snapdragon chips from Qualcomm for the Galaxy S24 and S25 models in hopes of offering better performance to users. However, Samsung is working on a new Exynos chip codenamed 'Ulysses' which is planned to be used in the Galaxy S27.

In addition, the new Exynos processor will reportedly be made using Samsung's second-generation 2nm (SF2P) technology which will be ready by the end of 2026. These results show that Samsung is working to improve the user experience in the performance and energy efficiency segment. Despite efforts to improve the Exynos SoC for the next generation, Samsung seems to be taking a cautious step before relaunching the chip.
