The sleep apnea detection feature on the Samsung Galaxy Watch has been expanded to 36 additional countries today, bringing the total number of supported countries to 70. So, what should you know about it?

Is it available in Malaysia?

Unfortunately, Malaysia is not included in one of the 70 countries. For your information, the Sleep Apnea detection is supported on Galaxy Watch4 and above running at least Wear OS 5.0.

However, it can only be used if the smartwatch is connected to a Samsung smartphone running Android 12 and above. On the other hand, Sleep apnea tracking has been available on the Apple Watch in Malaysia since January this year.

Hopefully, Samsung Malaysia can obtain approval from the Ministry of Health soon because in the Asian region, this feature can already be enjoyed by Galaxy Watch users in neighbouring countries such as the Philippines, Singapore, and Vietnam.

Which countries can enjoy it?
