On top of the Samsung Galaxy Note 9, Samsung also revealed their new Samsung Galaxy Watch. Obviously a rebranding from their previous Gear smartwatches, the new Galaxy Watch has a 1.3-inch / 1.2-inch circular display with Gorilla Glass DX+. No Malaysia release dates or pricing details yet but it is coming to the US on 24 August 2018 at $400 (~RM1631) for the larger 1.3-inch display version and $375 (~RM1529) for the smaller 1.2-inch display version while the Bluetooth-only versions will retail at $350 (~RM1427) and $330 (~RM1345).

It is IP68 water resistant and somewhat shock resistant according to the MIL-STD-810G standard. Powered by Samsung’s Tizen operating system, it will pack in NFC, a heartbeat monitor, have Bluetooth and 4G LTE versions (768MB RAM + 4GB storage for Bluetooth-only and 1.5GB RAM + 4GB storage for 4G LTE), GPS and a 472 mAh battery for the 1.3-inch display version and a 270 mAh battery for the 1.2-inch display version.

Samsung says it will last “several days” which could be anything from 2 days or more. The Galaxy Watch will be available in Silver for the larger version and Midnight Black or Rose Gold for the smaller version.
