It was reported that many smartphone manufacturers are releasing their own folding smartphones this year including OPPO, Xiaomi, and even Google. Now, we have received an update claiming that there's finally progress as Samsung Display is reportedly developing the folding displays for the mentioned companies.

According to TheElec's report, OPPO's upcoming folding smartphone will feature a clamshell design with a display measured 7.7-inch. Earlier, the Chinese company has worked with BOE and Visionox to present a prototype. However, it looks like it has ended up trusting Samsung Display for its folding smartphone debut.

On the other hand, Xiaomi is going with the popular in-folding design, and the display size is claimed to be 8.03-inch. Like the recently launched HUAWEI Mate X2, Xiaomi's foldable could also come with an outer display that has a size of 6.38-inch. Last but not least, Google has requested the manufacturer to develop a foldable OLED panel as well with a size of around 7.6-inch. The tech giant's smartphone is also said to be sporting an inward-folding design.
