Today, Samsung Electronics announced that select Galaxy A series phones will soon support AI assistant activation. According to the newsroom, Samsung and Google have been working together, and Galaxy A series users will be able to activate Gemini faster.
The update is part of the company’s ongoing effort to make advanced AI experiences more widely accessible. With the rollout, users of Galaxy A56 5G, Galaxy A36 5G, and Galaxy A26 5G devices will be able to launch Google’s AI-powered assistant, Gemini, by simply pressing and holding the side button. The feature expands on Samsung’s recently introduced Awesome Intelligence, a suite of AI capabilities designed to enhance everyday usability.
The integration of Gemini allows users to perform a range of tasks via voice command. This includes checking schedules and finding nearby restaurants to receive personalised gift ideas. Users can also execute complex multi-app actions with a single command, such as locating a restaurant on Google Maps and instantly sharing the address through Samsung Messages.
Samsung Electronics confirmed that this software update will roll out globally to select Galaxy A series models starting in early May. At the same time, the Galaxy A56 5G, Galaxy A36 5G, and Galaxy A26 5G devices are having their last-day promotion (30 April) with up to RM429 worth of rewards. Above is the table for your reference.
