Ever since Samsung added Gemini AI support to its Galaxy smartphones last year, smartphone companies have been quick to follow this generative AI boom. Samsung itself has extended Gemini AI support to its mid-range A series, but has plans to add more options beyond that.

Official Perplexity AI and ChatGPT support?

According to Bloomberg, Samsung is talking to OpenAI and Perplexity about integrating the two companies' AI services in future Samsung Galaxy devices. The plan is to have more alternatives to Google's Gemini AI, such as ChatGPT and Perplexity AI. Each platform has its advantages and disadvantages, so access to multiple services could be useful.

Samsung's Choi Won-Joon said that the company is "open to any AI agent out there" as long as they are "competitive and can provide the best user experiences". The president and COO of Samsung's mobile division also implied that this move could be applied to next year's Galaxy S26 series. Based on the statement, it can be assumed that Samsung considers OpenAI and Perplexity AI's services competitive enough to be included.

Does this mean we'll see all three AI services in the Galaxy S26 series next year? And is having multiple options necessary? Let us know in the comments below and stay tuned to TechNave for more news like this.
