OLED iPad has been a long-overdue product from Apple. However, this new information is here to shed some light on the timeline when the company is launching one. According to it, Samsung has just started developing a new kind of OLED, and it's said to appear on the 2024 iPads.

The Elec, a Korean media outlet, reports that Samsung is currently developing an OLED display that uses a two-stack tandem structure to win Apple's heart. This OLED display will have two emission lawyers (EML), allowing it to double its brightness "while its life span is expected to be quadrupled".

It is said that the material is named T1 and is aiming for commercial production in 2023. Meanwhile, the one that could appear on the future iPads would be the successor, T2, with the mass production expected to start in 2024. Besides Samsung, LG is also doubling its production capacity of an OLED plant dedicated to small- and medium-size displays in hopes to grab orders from Apple.
