Samsung is reportedly preparing to mass-produce flagship smartphone application processors (APs) using the 2nm node by the 2nd half of 2025. With this new process named SF2, the South Korean tech giant is touted to release the Exynos 2600 AP.
According to Fonearena which sourced the South Korean publication ET News, the new chipset is codenamed “Thetis” after the sea goddess of Greek mythology. Furthermore, the new processor will utilise the 2nm fabrication process and is expected to be featured in the Samsung Galaxy S26 series.

The report added that the new 2nm processor is aimed at competing with Apple’s upcoming SoCs, which is also rumoured to use the 2nm process. Of course, do take this with a grain of salt as nothing is confirmed yet.
