Besides the Galaxy Z Fold4 and Z Flip4, Samsung might be planning to surprise us with a third folding device this year. According to a reputable tipster, Digital Chat Station, the Korean tech giant could finally decide to bring its rollable screen to the market with the mysterious device.
Codenamed "Diamond", the device could open a new segment with a body housing a hidden screen that can be pulled out when needed. It would also allow a larger screen real-estate in a smaller device. We have seen multiple patents of the company's concept for the rolling device, but it's still hard to imagine holding one in hand.
The company's Galaxy Z Fold and Z Flip series are holding up well these days. Therefore, it might have given Samsung the courage to continue venturing into bold smartphone ideas. However, it remains a concern for the durability of the rolling device (if there would be one) as the folding smartphones are still improving in the aspect as well.
