Samsung Newsroom Malaysia has officially announced the release of the One UI 9 beta programme for users of the Samsung Galaxy S26 Series. The beta rollout gives early adopters access to Samsung’s next-generation Android experience ahead of the official public release later this year.
One UI 9 Focuses on Smarter AI Experiences
Samsung says One UI 9 places a stronger emphasis on AI-powered personalisation, productivity, and seamless device interaction across the Galaxy ecosystem. The latest software introduces a more context-aware interface designed to adapt dynamically to user habits, preferences, and multitasking behaviour.
Samsung is also continuing to integrate Galaxy AI deeper into the user experience, reflecting the company’s broader push toward AI-first smartphones and connected devices. Visually, One UI 9 introduces refinements to animations, widgets, notifications, lock screen customisation, and multitasking interactions.
Moreover, Samsung says the interface has been redesigned to improve usability while maintaining a cleaner and more fluid navigation experience across the Galaxy S26 lineup. The update also expands personalisation tools, allowing users to customise layouts, adaptive widgets, wallpapers, and smart suggestions more intelligently based on daily routines and app usage patterns.
A major focus of One UI 9 is tighter ecosystem integration across Samsung devices, including smartphones, tablets, PCs, TVs, and wearables. Samsung says users can expect smoother continuity features, faster file sharing, improved device handoff experiences, and more intelligent multi-device coordination powered by Galaxy AI.
Gaming and Performance Optimisations Included
The beta update additionally introduces system-level optimisations for gaming performance, battery efficiency, and thermal management. Samsung says One UI 9 improves resource allocation during gaming sessions while maintaining smoother frame stability and more responsive touch interactions. The update also includes enhancements for camera processing and AI-assisted photography, continuing Samsung’s heavy focus on mobile imaging experiences within its flagship Galaxy ecosystem.
Beta Programme Available for Early Testing
Eligible Galaxy S26 Series users can register for the One UI 9 beta programme through the Samsung Members application. The beta allows Samsung to gather user feedback and identify performance issues ahead of the software’s wider commercial rollout.
The One UI 9 beta program will be available to Galaxy S26 series users in select markets, including Germany, India, Korea, Poland, the U.K. and the U.S starting this week. For Malaysia, we will have to wait until it is available for us. Stay tuned for more trending tech news at TechNave.com.
