Samsung has made file sharing easier by launching a new Good Lock module called Dropship. If you have no idea what Good Lock is, it's actually a Galaxy Store app that allows users to access various customization options such as theming, UI tweaking, and more. Back to Dropship, the new module will enable more seamless file sharing across Android, iOS, and the web by using a data-driven approach.

Rather than using Bluetooth and local Wi-Fi like Nearby Share and AirDrop, Dropship allows users to create links or QR codes for file sharing with setting options like a validity period. Therefore, no matter which operating system is running on your family or friends' devices, you'd still be able to share the files through this way.

However, it comes with some restrictions that might cause you not able to use the app at all. One of them is your Samsung device should be updated to OneUI 5, and the other one is the app is only available in South Korea for now. Besides these, if you share over 5GB of files, you won't get to share anymore, as that's the limit. Sending files also requires a Samsung account, but it's not necessary for the receivers.
