Fancy foldable smartphones but can't afford them? You're not the only one and that's why rumours of affordable foldable smartphones are so compelling. In fact, there's a new rumour that claims that Samsung might be developing a foldable that can be considered a 'budget' version of its existing one.

According to Sammobile, sources are claiming that Samsung has been working on a new foldable bearing the model number SM-F415. In case you are unaware, Samsung uses the 'F' moniker in its model numbers for foldable devices. For example, the upcoming Galaxy Z Flip 5G has a model number of SM-F707B. This new rumoured foldable is expected to be a clamshell as well.

Rumours claim that the new device is another clamshell foldable

In terms of tech specs, the foldable is allegedly going to come with 64GB or 128GB of internal storage. It's also supposed to be available in black, blue, and green colours. However, such a device will likely feature mid-range specs at best. For example, it could come with a Snapdragon 730G or 765G chipset. And even then, it's not going to be as cheap as a regular mid-range smartphone, due to expensive parts like the hinge and foldable display.

As for price, it's predicted to cost less than USD 1000 (~RM4178). It's cheaper than most foldable smartphones, but would you pay for a foldable at that price? Comment on this on our Facebook page and stay tuned to TechNave.com for possible updates on this device.
