Samsung may be scaling back from Mobile World Congress (MWC) due to the Coronavirus Outbreak!

Untitled-1.jpgFor the past weeks, there are already four exhibitors to withdraw or scale back from the Mobile World Congress due to the current coronavirus outbreak. Today, another large exhibitor, Samsung is reported to be scaling back to attend the wireless extravaganza due to many executives canceling their trips.

Although Samsung has not to respond to it, the organizer of MWC, GSMA has started banning all guests from China’s Hubei province where the outbreak originated from and require visitors who have been to China to prove they haven’t been there for the last 14 days. Besides, visitors also have to go through temperature checks and at prove that they haven’t been in contact with infected people.

With Samsung scaling back its presence due to the outbreak, it will be a hit to the business deals that frequently take place at the show. The coronavirus outbreak recently surpassed the SARS (Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome) death toll with 812 people died from China and 1 outside of China compared to 774 killed two decades ago.

With that said, do be extra cautious and take extra care of your personal hygiene at all times as Malaysia has already gone up to 18 confirmed cases tested positive on the virus. Do stay tuned on TechNave.com for more updates.
