Samsung may finally be using a 65W fast charging adapter

Up until now, Samsung has always been releasing a 25W charger adapter. It may not be as fast as others that are up to 120W, but 25W is already quite fast for charging a phone. However, recent documentation from Demko (a Danish organisation) showed that Samsung may upgrade to a 65W fast charging adapter.

Under the model EP-TA865, the unofficial charger adapter supports USB PD and PPS protocols. Not only that but it also supports other charging powers like 45W and 15W as it should. If this all goes into Samsung's planning, then it is very likely to see the next Samsung Galaxy S22 series using it. There is a good chance that it could be a separate accessory since Samsung started practising doing so with the current Galaxy S series.

It should be noted that Samsung did have a 45W fast charging adapter back on the Galaxy S20 Ultra. However, the company reverted back to 25W fast charging this year probably for safety reasons. In fact, ever since the long-ago Galaxy Note 7 battery issue fiasco, Samsung didn't go all-out crazy with the fast charging technology like the Chinese brands.

There is still a long way to go for the next Samsung Galaxy S22 series so let's just wait for it next year. Until then, stay tuned for more trending tech news at TechNave.com.
