Every year, Samsung will release its latest Galaxy Z Fold and Galaxy Z Flip editions around the third quarter of the year. The next one is the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and according to reports, Samsung may release not one but two Galaxy Z Fold 6 variants.

WinFuture reported that the two Galaxy Z Fold 6 variants may include a standard and an ultra variant. If true, this could be the first time we may get an "affordable" foldable device while the ultra unit may be marketed as a premium range. The internal codenames from the report stated the standard Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Fold 6 Ultra are Q6 and Q6A, respectively.

It's still early to know what tech specs they have but the Ultra is said to have more capable cameras with a 200MP ISOCELL HP2 sensor like the Galaxy S24 Ultra. On top of that, the ultra variant could have optional stylus support, higher memory configurations and a much larger cover and main displays. An updated hinge is expected too to decrease the display crease.

We should expect the next-gen Galaxy Z Fold 6 series in July, alongside the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and the much anticipated Galaxy Ring accessory. Until then, stay tuned for the official news.
