It seems that a patent by Samsung has been spotted on wipo.int, hinting that the smartphone manufacturer might be planning to release a foldable phone with a rotating camera module. While not much is known about the exact release date, it gives us a better idea of what to expect from Samsung in the future.

Upon close inspection, it seems that the rotating module will most likely be housed at the top right corner of the display. Not only that, but it looks like the module will house up to 3 camera sensors, most likely consisting of the main camera, a wide-angle camera, as well as a telephoto camera.

However, it is highly unlikely that the phone will come with a periscope camera setup due to the limited space. That all being said, do take every bit of information with a grain of salt, due to the fact that Samsung has yet to provide an official statement on the leak.

Not only that, but there’s also no news on the local pricing, and exact tech specs for now. Would you be interested in getting a foldable smartphone that’s equipped with a rotating camera module? Let us know on our Facebook page and for more updates like this, stay tuned to TechNave.com.
