This time around Samsung have officially announced their Gear Sport, Gear Fit2 Pro and Gear IconX (2018) wearables for IFA 2017. Keeping that rotateable crown, the Gear Sport offers a 1.0gHz processor, 768MB RAM, 4GB storage, 1.2-inch Super AMOLED display, heart-rate sensor, GPS, Wifi and Bluetooth. The 300 mAh battery can be charged wirelessly while the Gear Sport has a MIL-STD-810G shock resistance and 5ATM pressure resistance for swimmers.
Maintaining these same resistances is the Samsung Gear Fit2 Pro but it goes for a rectangular 1.5-inch curved Super AMOLED form factor and lighter 34g body. Tech specs are marginally less with a 1.0GHz processor, 512MB RAM, 4GB storage and 200 mAh battery but it also offers the same heart-rate sensor, GPS, WiFi and Bluetooth combo.
The updated smart earpiece Gear IconX (2018) gets an improved 82 mAh battery and 8g weight but still offers 4GB storage. It supports Bixby and gesture support while the charging case is smaller and more rounded.
No specific Malaysia release dates or pricing details yet but Samsung Malaysia have reached out to us and said that the Gear Fit2 Pro will be coming end of September while the Gear Sport and Gear IconX may arrive in November 2017.
