Samsung has introduced S Pen support for its foldables since the Galaxy Z Fold3. However, it looks like the Korean tech giant will take a step further for future folding devices by adopting a dedicated slot for the accessory.

According to the latest report, Samsung has mentioned that a dedicated S Pen slot is one of the challenges to making the foldables more popular in recent meetings with suppliers. Media outlet The Elec claims that the company originally wanted an S Pen slot on the current Galaxy Z Fold4 but ditched the idea due to thickness and weight considerations.

Not just an S Pen slot can make the foldables even better, Samsung also put thinner and lighter body, durability, a smaller display crease and more powerful cameras on the list. It's said that the Galaxy Z Fold4 was also supposed to have better cameras than what we have now. However, it's cancelled as well due to the same reason why we can't get the slot.
