Today, Samsung released the new Portable SSD T5 EVO. In case you didn’t know, this device is the latest SSD (Solid State Drive) from the company. That said, what should you know about it?

Besides that, it can deliver ultra-fast speeds in a compact, durable design as a cutting-edge, versatile SSD solution. Moreover, this device is based on the USB 3.2 Gen 1. The new variant could transfer data up to 3.8 times faster than external HDDs and deliver maximum performance through sequential reading. Plus, the device can deliver speeds of up to 460 megabytes per second (MB/s). That makes it easier for you to transfer large files.
In addition, the device is equipped with Thermal Guard Protection against overheating and maintains optimal operating temperatures. That makes the device safe and follows international safety standard IEC 62368-1. It is also compatible with a lot of OS and host devices. That includes macOS, Windows, smartphones/tablets, and gaming consoles.
If you are interested, the Portable T5 EVO comes in 3 sizes - 2TB, 4TB, and 8TB. It also comes with a USB Type-C-to-C cable and includes a three-year limited warranty. The 2TB variant will cost you $189.99 (~RM885.83) while the 4TB is priced at $349.99 (~RM1631.83). Lastly, the 8TB version is priced at $649.99 (~RM3030.58).
