Samsung has a history of targeting Apple products in its ads, especially in the United States and ahead of the launch of the iPhone 14 Series, the South Korean tech giant is back at it again. This time around, Samsung posted an ad called ‘Buckle up’ which mocks the upcoming iPhones for not having the top-of-the-line specs that the latest galaxy smartphones possess.

The ad, which can be viewed here begins with a narrator urging the public to “buckle up for Apple’s latest launch” whereby the public will enter a world where heads will turn but “just not in your direction”.

As it turns out, the ad is actually promoting Samsung’s Galaxy S22 Ultra and the Galaxy Z Flip4 and compares both devices to the upcoming devices by Apple. Specifically, Samsung highlights how the iPhone 14 Series won’t have the specs found on Samsung’s latest flagships, including the 108MP main camera and 100x Space Zoom while showcasing them in action on the aforementioned Samsung devices in the ad.

Pretty cheeky by Samsung, though it is to be noted that its similar ads in the past aimed at Apple have backfired. Most famously, Samsung posted ads mocking Apple for removing the headphone jack as well as not including power adapters inside the box before eventually doing the same. Yikes!
