A rollable screen has been a topic for a few years now, but so far, it was only presented as a concept in tech conventions and never released commercially. You can pretty much think of any brands that have tackled the idea, but recently, Samsung and Intel showcased the world's first 17-inch slidable PC display.

Dubbed the Rollable Screen PC, it looks very much like a tablet without a keyboard around. At the same time, Intel displayed the Intel Unison software on the device which allowed users to connect their phones with PCs (read more about it here). Of course, as aforementioned, this Rollable Screen PC is still a concept.

It may take a few more years before a rolling display device becomes a reality and is commercially sold. But what Intel and Samsung did really gave us a glimpse of what the future could be like. A rollable device could potentially be convenient and with the assistance of Intel Unison, everything could be interconnected on the go. Meanwhile, Samsung also showed its Slideable Flex displays at Intel Innovation.

By the way, Intel also unveiled the latest 13th Gen Intel Core processors. To read all about it, you can visit our news coverage right here. Stay tuned for more trending tech news at TechNave.com.
