Samsung to manufacture and release bezel-less smartphones next year

A render concept

By now, you should have already seen the breathtaking Xiaomi Mi Mix online with its bezel-less top. Although it's unfortunate that the device won't be coming to Malaysia, another company does not share the same thought as them, and that company is none other than Samsung.

According to Park Wonsang, Chief Engineer of S-LCD (a South Korean LCD manufacturing company jointly owned by Samsung and Sony), Samsung will start to release their smartphones with bezel-less displays next year, starting with 90% of the screen-to-body ratio, and the company will increase it further to 99% in the next few years, covering all corners.

Though we're pretty sure that only the flagships will get it instead of their midrange-to-entry level devices, we think the Galaxy S8 would be the first to get it, however, Mr Wonsang has no comment on that.

It's still a long way for us to see their design, until then, stay tuned for more news at Technave.com.
