Samsung to release a patch to fix a major security issue on the Ultrasonic Fingerprint Sensor

Based on a statement by Samsung, the South Korean smartphone and electronics manufacturing company will be rolling out a patch that will fix a major security flaw in the Ultrasonic Fingerprint Scanner found in smartphones such as the Galaxy S10 and Galaxy Note 10 series. The aforementioned security flaw allows anybody to unlock the smartphone, through the use of a third-party screen protector.

But that’s not all, the third-party screen protector also tends to cause the ultrasonic fingerprint sensor to malfunction and detect a completely different pattern. With that said, there is no official date on when the patch will be available in Malaysia for now.
