We know Samsung is going to be at MWC 2017, but they probably won’t be showing off the Galaxy S8, but reports have come in and said Samsung will instead be showcasing their AR (augmented reality) and VR (virtual reality). Developed by Samsung C-Labs, there are four projects in total which follows Relúmĭno, Monitorless, VuildUs, and traVRer.

Relúmĭno

This VR technology was designed to simply assist visually impaired people to be able to read books and watch TV, it’s said that the technology has the “ability to remap blind spots by displacing images and uses an Amsler grid chart to correct distorted images caused by metamorphopsia (a condition where straight lines appear wavy).”

VuildUs

Another VR technology that Samsung is building is VuildUs, VuildUs is a mobile app that allows the user to have a 360° depth camera preview of a certain item before purchasing it. So to speak, it’s sort of like online shopping. This is an added advantage because whenever you shop for a furniture, you can use the technology to see if it fits in your home.

Monitorless

Moving on, the Monitorless is a birth child from both VR and AR combined together. By wearing this pair of glasses, the user can view contents from a computer or smartphone directly via WiFi. In other words, it’s sort of like TeamViewer but on your glasses and able to switch between VR or AR.

traVRer

Lastly, the traVRer is another 360° video platform best suited for users who loves exploring places around the world in the comfort of your couch. It even has sound effects to make you feel like you’re there.
