After the announcement of the latest Samsung Galaxy S21 series, Samsung held a QnA session with some of the media online. On the topic of being sustainable by removing charging bricks, Samsung also unveiled that all of its Galaxy phone lineups will eventually remove them.

Similar to Apple's decision, Samsung told the media that they discovered many Galaxy users are just reusing the old charging bricks and earphones they had before when getting a new phone. So with this reason, the company wants to support their Galaxy community to practice better recycling habits.

On top of that, they also believe that starting with the Galaxy S21 series, it will bring more awareness of sustainable consumption issues. Samsung said they will gradually remove the charger plugs and earphones in other future retail boxes. USB-C charging ports have been a staple in Galaxy devices since 2017, so these older chargers are still compatible with the latest Galaxy models.

While we still cannot forget that Samsung made fun of Apple's decision on removing charging bricks, we also understand that this move is necessary. After all, many of us don't actually use the chargers given inside the box. But what about you? Let us know in the comments below and stay tuned for more trending news at TechNave.com.
