Every year, we see new advances in technology for TVs. The top-end used to be dominated by OLED, but other panel types like QLED and Mini LED have surfaced in recent years. Samsung is in the thick of it and is set to unveil new TVs at CES 2022.

Earlier today, Samsung announced that it would showcase new MICRO LED, Neo QLED, and new lifestyle TVs at CES 2022. This year, the company claimed that its TVs would show marked advancements in picture and sound quality. There would also be more screen size options, customisable accessories, and an upgraded UI. Here's a brief overview of what's to come.

MICRO LED

The star of Samsung Display's CES 2022 showcase would probably be its new MICRO LED TVs. Allegedly, these will offer top-notch picture quality "thanks to 25 million micrometer-sized LEDs that individually produce light and colour". Specifically, it will have a 100% DCI-P3 and 100% Adobe RGB colour gamut, 99.99% screen-to-body ratio, and 1 million steps of brightness level.

In other words, this type would provide a greater level of brightness and colour control. Besides that, the Samsung MICRO LED TVs would come with four-channel speakers, which can help deliver a virtual surround audio experience. At CES 2022, Samsung will have an 89-inch, 101-inch, and 110-inch variant on display.

Neo QLED

Samsung's QLED TVs aren't anything new, but the company introduced the upgraded version - Neo QLED - last year. At CES 2022, Samsung will introduce new models with improved brightness level controls. They will use an advanced contrast mapping technique for greater control of the Quantum Mini LEDs, resulting in 16384 steps of lighting control.

Moreover, the new models will come with a bunch of features. They include Shape Adaptive Light, Real Depth Enhancer, EyeComfort mode, Object Tracking Sound Pro, Dolby Atmos, and more.

This year, Samsung will launch variants with a new Matte Display that has anti-glare. According to the announcement, the three new models will be "Reflection Glare Free, Discomfort Glare Free, and Disability Glare Free".

Like the monitors earlier today, Samsung has yet to disclose the exact specs and prices for the new TVs. But expect more details to be revealed at CES 2022 later this week. Stay tuned to TechNave for the launch report!
