The Internet bombards us with so much information, many of which could be false or misleading. It's an issue many have tried to solve via methods like content moderation or filtering. But modern problems require modern solutions, and MCMC has one that's powered by AI.
Today, Communications Minister YB Fahmi Fadzil announced the Sebenarnya.my Chatbot. This AI chatbot uses Artificial Intelligence Fact-check Assistant (AIFA) to help Malaysians fact-check online content. Specifically, it's designed to review the authenticity of information spread on platforms like WhatsApp.

The Sebenarnya Chatbot is an initiative of the Ministry of Communications through the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC). Currently, the service supports Bahasa Malaysia, English, Mandarin and Tamil. To access the Sebenarnya Chatbot, follow the steps below:
- Go to https://sebenarnya.my/
- Tap on the message icon located on the bottom-right corner of the main page
- Type your question in the text bar to fact-check
It's hard to say how effective the platform is since it just launched, so let us know what you think once you've tried it. Leave your comments about the Chatbot on our Facebook page, and stay tuned to TechNave for more news like this.
