Selangor Mansion and Malayan Mansion situated in Masjid India are now on lockdown!

The government has announced that Selangor Mansion and Malayan Mansion, which is situated in Masjid India to put under an enhanced movement control order (EMCO) making it the fourth location after 2 Simpang Renggam areas, 7 Villages in Hulu Langat and Menara One City were put into EMCO.

Defence Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob mentioned the decision was made after 15 Covid-19 positive cases had been detected at both premises by the Ministry of Health’s (MOH). The EMCO for these two buildings involves 6,000 residents in 365 residential and commercial units which mostly are foreigners. All were sealed to prohibit residents and visitors from exiting and entering the area.

This order takes effect from 7 April until all residents have been screened while the Royal Malaysia Police, Malaysian Armed Forces, Civil Defense Force, the Kuala Lumpur City Council, and RELA will be stationed in the area to ensure full compliance from the residents. Other than that, Ismail Sabri also said that the new zone-based MCO standard procedure (SOP) will be announced by the Home Minister(KDN) and the National Security Council (MKN) this coming Thursday.
