Selangor is now using the latest tech from the UK and can now patch potholes in 15 minutes

The Selangor state road maintenance company, Infrasel Sdn Bhd (Infrasel) has successfully patched 22,418 potholed roads between January and August 31 this year. So, to further speed up actions to repair damaged roads, especially potholed roads used by road users in the state, Infrasel Sdn. Bhd has introduced its newest asset, Jetpatcher. So, what should you know about it?

For your information, the Jetpatcher is the latest sophisticated machinery belonging to Infrasel Sdn. Bhd. This will help them carry out repair work on damaged and potholed road surfaces more efficiently. It will be used during the 2024 Mega Paving Project to minimise time thanks to the special features found on the Jetpatcher.

In addition, it can carry out paving works faster and minimise disruption to road users. This machinery uses UK technology and will play an important role in improving road infrastructure in Selangor. Interestingly, this device was reported to have repaired potholed roads in just 15 minutes, compared to more than an hour needed with conventional methods.

Previously, EXCO Infrastructure Ir Izham Hashim allocated RM20 million to implement the Mega Pavement Project. Repair work involves all routes including state, local authority (PBT) and village roads.
