Senheng Electric (KL) Sdn. Bhd. (“Senheng”) has joined forces with clean energy provider Progressture Power Sdn. Bhd. (“Progressture Solar”) to bring affordable and reliable solar energy solutions to East Malaysia. Through 20 Senheng and senQ outlets across Sabah and Sarawak, homeowners can now access a range of residential solar systems and battery energy storage systems (BESS).
Powering East Malaysia with Clean Energy
The collaboration enables homeowners to choose from three key system types: solar-only setups, BESS-only backups, or hybrid solar-and-BESS combinations with inverters. Each package is tailored to East Malaysia’s local policies and household needs, and all installations are managed by Progressture Solar — a leading name in Malaysia’s renewable energy landscape with expertise across residential, commercial, and utility-scale solar projects.
To make the transition easier, Senheng is offering flexible financing plans with 0% instalment options for up to 60 months, 10% S-Coin Cashback, insurance coverage worth up to RM30000, free nationwide standard installation, and access to its Solar for Everyone financing scheme. Packages start from RM24500, offering customers potential monthly savings on electricity bills.
As a special launch offer, the first 30 East Malaysian customers who make a solar purchase before 31 October 2025 will receive 30% S-Coin Cashback. Every purchase during this period also comes with a free Viomi Water Purifier Nano worth RM2799.
Supporting Malaysia’s Energy Transition
The initiative comes as East Malaysia accelerates its renewable energy ambitions. Under the Net Energy Metering (NEM) program, Sarawak homeowners can export excess solar power to the grid and offset their electricity bills.
Starting in 2026, Sarawak Energy will offer a subsidy of up to RM12000 for residential solar installations, further lowering costs. Meanwhile, in Sabah, the Self-Consumption (SELCO) scheme allows residents to use the energy they generate directly.
Senheng and Progressture Solar’s joint efforts align with Malaysia’s National Energy Transition Roadmap, targeting a 40% renewable energy mix by 2035 and net-zero emissions by 2050, as well as Sarawak’s Energy Transition Policy (SET-P).
