If there's one issue that's plagued (heh!) companies in 2021, it would have to be the production delays caused by the pandemic. This time, Valve is the company that has will have to delay shipment for its big product for the year - the Steam Deck.

To elaborate, Valve has announced that it will delay shipping for its handheld console until February 2022. The company originally planned for the Steam Deck to launch by December 2022, just in time for the Christmas season. But the shortage of materials affected its production time, so Valve had to push back the release date.

It should be noted that February 2022 is also when those who are interested in the Steam Deck can start making reservations again. As a reminder, the Steam Deck is a handheld console that's powered by SteamOS 3.0 and can play most Steam games at 30FPS. It comes with an AMD APU, 16GB of RAM, and up to 512GB of storage. Games can be enjoyed on the 7-inch IPS display (1280x800) or a screen via a dock.

The takeaway here is the confirmation of the next reservation window in February 2022. Hopefully, Valve will allow global shipping for the Steam Deck by then. If that happens, would you buy one for yourself? Let us know in the comments, and stay tuned to TechNave for more updates about it.
