Today, Shokz Malaysia has officially introduced the Shokz OpenFit Pro in Malaysia, bringing upgraded open-ear audio technology, active noise reduction, and Dolby Atmos support to its latest flagship earbuds. Here's everything you need to know about the company’s newest premium audio wearables.

The Shokz OpenFit Pro

One of the biggest highlights of the OpenFit Pro is the introduction of Shokz’s first open-ear noise reduction system. Unlike traditional in-ear earbuds that fully isolate users from their surroundings, the OpenFit Pro is designed to maintain environmental awareness while still reducing unwanted noise when needed.

The earbuds feature a triple-microphone setup combined with adaptive noise reduction algorithms capable of detecting both external and in-ear noise conditions in real time. Users can switch between different listening modes depending on whether they are working in cafés, exercising outdoors, cycling, or commuting. Shokz says the feature is designed to offer a more flexible listening experience without fully sacrificing awareness of surrounding environments.

Sound System and Features

The OpenFit Pro is powered by a synchronised dual-diaphragm driver system alongside the company’s Shokz SuperBoost audio technology. According to Shokz, the setup delivers improved bass response, smoother highs, and more detailed audio performance while reducing distortion. The earbuds also support Dolby Atmos and head tracking for a more immersive spatial audio experience.

Users can customise audio profiles further through the Shokz mobile app using adjustable EQ settings and preset sound modes. Comfort remains another major focus, with the earbuds featuring ultra-soft silicone materials and flexible nickel-titanium ear hooks designed for long-term wear. The lightweight design weighs approximately 12.3g per earbud.

Additionally, the OpenFit Pro includes an IP55 water resistance rating, Bluetooth 6.1 connectivity, multipoint pairing support, wear detection, and physical control buttons designed to work reliably even during workouts or outdoor usage. Battery life is rated at up to 12 hours on a single charge, extending up to 50 hours when combined with the charging case. The earbuds also support wireless charging, while a quick 10-minute charge can deliver approximately four hours of playback.

Shokz Opens First Mono Store in Malaysia

Alongside the launch, Shokz also announced the opening of its first Mono Store in Malaysia, located at IOI City Mall. The retail outlet showcases the company’s full product lineup, including the OpenRun, OpenComm, OpenFit, and the newly launched OpenFit Pro series, allowing Malaysian consumers to experience the products firsthand before purchase.

According to Lyndon Chen, Malaysia remains an important growth market for the brand as consumers increasingly adopt more flexible and mobile-centric lifestyles. The company believes demand for open-ear listening solutions is growing among users seeking better awareness during commuting, work, fitness activities, and content consumption without complete isolation from their surroundings.

Pricing and Availability

The Shokz OpenFit Pro is priced at RM1,199 in Malaysia and is available in Black and White colour options. With its combination of open-ear listening, adaptive noise reduction, spatial audio, and lifestyle-focused design, the OpenFit Pro enters Malaysia’s increasingly competitive premium audio wearables segment alongside offerings from Sony, Bose, Apple, Huawei, and Samsung.
