ShopBack Pay will no longer be available as a payment option in Malaysia starting 25 March 2026. After that date, this payment option will no longer appear in the ShopBack app, and any attempts to scan the ShopBack Pay QR code will be unsuccessful. So, what should you know about it?
No more “Return Cashback” after 2 March 2026
Additionally, purchases made using ShopBack Pay on or after 2 March 2026 will no longer provide new 'Return Cashback'. However, any pending Cashback Return from ShopBack Pay purchases made before 2 March 2026 can still be credited as usual.
For consumers who do not have time to return to a physical store, verification can be made through eligible online purchases before March 25, 2026. Meanwhile, all other ShopBack services are still operating as usual. Users can still earn cashback for online purchases, and existing accounts and cashback balances are not affected, including those still awaiting verification or any withdrawals.
According to ShopBack, this change was made after a reassessment of its product portfolio to focus investment on the parts of the platform that provide the greatest benefit to customers and partners in Malaysia. Previously, ShopBack had also terminated the ShopBack PayLater service in October 2024.
