In case you missed it, Shopee Malaysia announced to the sellers that every Shopee customer won't be allowed to select a courier service of their choice. It will begin on 17 June 2021 (Thursday) for every purchase, which the customers will be given the choice of "Standard Delivery", "Economy Delivery" and "Others.

This update is definitely quite a 180-degrees turn from the current one that we are using. According to Shopee, the reason for this move is so that their system will have an easier time selecting a courier company automatically for the customers. In turn, this can also improve the company's logistic efficiency on the delivery of goods.

From the screenshot, you will see a slight change in the delivery menu as well as the selected courier services in Standard Delivery. Shopee Express is also included inside but only for Economy Delivery (SEA region) and Others if there are any other courier services available. In addition, customers can also save up to RM2.00 if Shopee Express is used for Standard Delivery.
