A few hours ago, MAS Airlines have posted on their Facebook page about a new way for passengers to check-in and boarding. Embarking on to being a smart airport, the new SITA Smart Path facility has just begun in Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) and it allows passengers to use 'Single Token' to pass through all touchpoints effortlessly.

According to the official Single Token website, it seems that the facility is only available at counters H5 - H8 only. This is the flight to Japan which means that it's available on Malaysian Airlines' flight, MH070 and MH052 to Narita International Airport and Kansai Internation Airport respectively.

The self-check-in is slightly different from the ones that are already functioning in foreign countries, as this one seems to rely on facial recognition more. All the passenger has to do is sign up for the Single Token during the check-in, then just proceed to all the designated checkpoints for security purpose via facial recognition and voila, you will be in the plane faster than usual.

It will take a while for these facilities to go mainstream for all the counters in the future, but what do you think? And have you tried it before? If so, you can actually give your feedback on this page to let the officials know if any improvement is needed. Stay tuned for more tech news at TechNave.com.
