At WWDC26 (Worldwide Developers Conference), Apple announced Siri AI, Apple Intelligence powered by Apple Foundation Models with help from Google Gemini models and more. They will roll out for iOS 27, iPadOS 27, macOS 27, watchOS 27, visionOS 27, and tvOS 27 for beta developers, while normal users get them in Q3 2026.
Streamlined Apple Intelligence
As expected of Apple, they’ve practically baked-in the new Apple Intelligence features which now allow Siri to see what’s on your screen and respond to it. It will compute on-device and on Private Cloud Compute (so you’ll need good Internet) and will draw on your personal context from your emails, messages and photos. This will allow it to write in your tone of voice. You can also look back on past conversations via the dedicated Siri app.

According to Apple, apps will launch up to 30% faster in iOS 27 and iPadOS 27 with 80% faster AirDrop transfers. You’ll also get access to a Liquid Glass slider so you can determine how transparent you want your icons to look. However, Apple Intelligence supports English, Vietnamese, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), Japanese, and Korean for now. Malay may have to wait a while longer.
Other Stand-out Features
Here are the other stand-out features for us:
- Spatial Reframing - You can “fix” the composition of a photo and even the angle somewhat after the photo has already been taken.
- Notify Me (Safari) - You can ask Safari to monitor a specific site so you can track good deals and so forth.
- Image Playground - Generate photorealistic images by describing what you want
- Parental controls - Parents can pick which apps are allowed, block nudity and graphic violence in shared videos and images as well as set limits for apps and social media

Will My Apple Device Get It?
To run the new Apple Intelligence and Siri AI features, you will need a relatively new device:
- iPhone - iPhone 16 models or later, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max.
- iPad - M1 models or later, and the iPad mini (A17 Pro).
- Mac - M1 models or later, and the new MacBook Neo (A18 Pro).
- Apple Watch - Series 9 or later, Ultra 2 or later, and the new SE 3 (when paired with a compatible iPhone).
- Vision Pro
What do you think? Is this what you’ve been waiting for from Apple Intelligence and Siri? Are Android users going to finally start finding out how to use those same features despite already having them for a while now? Share your thoughts in the comments below and stay tuned to TechNave.com
