Smart Tag lanes will be converted to RFID lanes on PLUS highways

It seems that PLUS Expressway Berhad has recently announced that they will be closing Smart Tag lanes at 9 tolls in the north and they’ll be converting these closed lanes into RFID lanes in the near future. But that’s not all, PLUS will also be giving away up to 1500 RFID fitments for those who who are interested in getting RFID for their car.

However, those who missed the free RFID fitment will be required to pay RM35 per vehicle at fitment centres available in selected areas. With all that said, there’s no information on whether PLUS will convert Smart Tag lanes to RFID lanes in the Klang Valley or other parts of Malaysia for now.
