Snap and stand a chance to win ~RM208,950 in Xiaomi's global Photography Challenge

Did you know that the Xiaomi Photography Challenge is the second time that the company is doing this? The first one was held just last year with more than 13,000 participants from around the world, with the eventual winner awarded US$30,000 (RM125,370) as the grand prize. In this second round, the social global contest is open to everyone who has a Xiaomi smartphone will stand a chance to win prizes that total up to US$50,000 (RM208,950)!

Based on the theme of “Ordinary | Extraordinary”, participants will have to take creative photos with a belief that "even a photo from a phone can defy expectations". To give you a bigger picture, should you choose to participate there are four categories - Natural look (portraits), Piece of the World (landscapes and “big” scenes), Dreamscape (light in the darkness) and Why So Serious? (creative photos). All photo submissions will be analyzed by a panel of judges including Gueorgui Pinkhassov and Jerome Sessini—both members of Magnum Photos, a world-renowned photographic cooperative. Wang Xiang, Xiaomi Senior Vice President, as well as Manu Jain, Vice President, Xiaomi and Managing Director, Xiaomi India.

On top of that, Mi Fans can also choose the final winners by voting their favourite photos from the top 100 photo submissions chosen by the judges.
