Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, companies around the world have been looking into various ways to help in relief efforts. One of those companies is Snapchat, which has come up with a new augmented reality lens that isn't for fun this time. Instead, this new lens is designed to help people to donate to the World Health Organization’s (WHO) COVID-19 response efforts.

Snapchat's donation lens will be available in 33 countries for 22 different currencies and it's quite easy to use. To donate, all you have to do is take a bill in your currency (e.g RM10) and scan it with Snapchat, or use the lens carousel to find the donation lens. You should be able to see a "Donate" button, which will redirect you to where you can make donations.

This new feature is made in collaboration with the United Nations Foundation's COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund for WHO. When using it, Snapchat will also tell you how your donation will be used. According to Snapchat, it will be used to help in tracking the spread of the virus, patient care, and giving the providing supplies to frontliners.

The feature is handy for those who are interested in donating but are unsure of how to do it. You can also directly access the donation page at covid19responsefund.org. Would you be making any donations to the fund? What are the other ways that companies can and should help in?
