Previously, we reported that Qualcomm is expected to launch the new Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset early next year. However, the company surprised us today by announcing the new mid-range chipset, which will hopefully power many devices.
In a press release, Qualcomm revealed that the SoC is a 4nm chip fabbed on TSMC’s 4nm process and features a 1+3+4 CPU cores architecture. Specifically, the cores are 1 prime Kryo CPU clocked at 2.63GHz, 3 performance cores clocked at 2.4GHz and 4 efficiency cores clocked at 1.8GHz.
Performance-wise, Qualcomm claimed that the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 has a 15% faster CPU and 50% more powerful GPU compared to the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1. There’s also an emphasis on AI features, with all the touted specs available below:
