November is upon us and we draw closer to the unveiling of Qualcomm's next chipset. This was hinted near the start of October, when the company announced that its next Tech Summit would be at the start of December 2020. Rumours of the Snapdragon 875 chipset has begun appearing too and the latest is a benchmark score.

According to Abhishek Yadav, Qualcomm's Snapdragon 875 has the codename of 'Lahaina'. He posted an alleged AnTuTu benchmark score for the chipset on Twitter and compared it with the Snapdragon 865+ that powers the ROG Phone 3. As can be seen, the newer chipset scored a whopping 847868 compared to the latter's 629245.

The top benchmark score on AnTuTu's ranking doesn't even reach 700k

That's an incredible leap in performance of about 37.4%. For comparison, the vivo iQOO 5 Pro currently tops the AnTuTu benchmark rankings at 671218 points, which is still 26% behind. While synthetic benchmarks don't give us the full picture where a chipset really performs, this does prove that the Snapdragon 875 chipset is going to be much more powerful than its predecessor.

Having said that, do take this news with a healthy pinch of salt, as there's no screenshot to prove its validity. Still, what do you think of this?
