Ever since the pandemic started early this year, Niantic, the makers of Pokemon Go have made several changes to the mobile app on how the players can still play while staying at home. From raiding remotely to walking distance boost from Gyms and PokeStops, and many more, the development team have also announced that some of the updates may revert back to the original way.

As more countries have already resume back to normal working life with the addition of SOP rules, Niantic announced that starting from 1 October onwards at 1PM PDT (4AM in Malaysia time zone), the following temporary bonuses will be modified. This includes Hatch Distance returning to the normal rate, Incense effectiveness increased for walking only, buddy Pokemon bring you gifts once per day, a higher chance of getting a gift when spinning a PokeStop (though there's no guarantee), as well as Incubators included in more boxes in the in-game shop.

In addition, there are also plans to keep some of the temporary bonuses for Pokemon GO players that were introduced during the past few months. The list includes:

  • The maximum number of Gifts you can carry in your Item Bag at a time will remain at 20.
  • You will continue to receive three times the Stardust and XP for your first Pokémon catch of the day.
  • Incense duration will remain at 60 minutes.

Last but not least, the Pokemon Go team would like to remind everyone to watch out for the "Special bonuses" section in Today View. Stay safe and stay healthy, Pokefans. Stay tuned for more trending tech news at TechNave.com.
