If you frequently use TikTok, this news might surprise you. Some popular songs might be unavailable on TikTok in the future. This is why it’s happening.

For your information, Universal Music Group (UMG) have yet to agree on a new music deal with TikTok. The deadline for this deal falls on 31 January 2024. As a result, the music giant might pull out its catalogue of songs off TikTok.

UMG said that its agreement with TikTok is set to expire on Jan. 31. “The companies have not agreed to terms for a new agreement and upon expiration of the current agreement, Universal Music Group, including Universal Music Publishing Group, will cease licensing content to TikTok and TikTok Music services,” the company said in a statement.
