The Sony α7S II in the flesh
Sony recently announced a new member of the α7 series with the Sony α7S II in Singapore for RM13499 (body only) equipped with a full frame 35mm 12.2MP image sensor and BIONZ X™ image processing engine. Malaysians can pre-order the new camera from 9 October - 25 October this month only from Sony Malaysia, the pre-order promotion also includes a bundling package to mark the arrival of the α7S II. Those who have placed their pre-order can bring home a 128GB memory card, an Artisan strap and a Think Tank case.
The α7S II offers photographers a greater picture and video shooting control with an ultra high sensitivity, wide dynamic range across the ISO range and 5-axis image stabilisation. This new cutting edge technology allows photographers to manually set whichever shutter speed to capture stunning quality images even in places that have difficult lighting conditions (in the brightest day or in darkest night, nothing shall escape its sight). It also hosts a pro-style movie function that has the ability to shoot a 4K video with full pixel readout. This is an attractive highlight for both photographers and videographers alike because this also means there is no pixel binning in full frame format.
The body
As mentioned earlier, thanks to the combination of its 35mm full-frame 12.2MP 2 image sensor and BIONZ X™ image processing engine. Its light sensitivity range is from 50 - 4096001! This is possible due to the sensor capabilities that are maximized by the BIONZ X™ engine, as it produces as little noise as possible in the image and even video recording.
