It looks Sony has been working hard on the professional side of things. The company not only launch the Xperia Pro but also a new Sony A1 camera earlier today. Both products are high-end products catered towards professional photographers.
The Sony A1 (Alpha 1) is a full-frame mirrorless camera that packs a 50.1MP Exmor RS CMOS sensor. It offers up to 30fps shooting speeds (electronic shutter), fast phase-detection AF, and 8K@30P or 4K@120P video recording. It also has an all-new Bionz XR image processor that delivers an ISO range of 100–32000, which can be expanded to 50–102400.
In terms of features, the camera's electronic shutter has several benefits. It's silent, vibration-free and flicker-free, which is useful in various situations like wildlife and sports photography. On top of that, it has a 240Hz OLED EVF that refreshes fast enough to prevent blackouts when shooting in burst mode.
The Sony A1 has a retail price of USD 6498 (~RM26281) for the body only, so it's not exactly cheap. But it's definitely top-tier for professionals, so do check out the product page if you're interested.
