The Sony α6300 is the company's mid-tier mirrorless camera that pack a tech specs of 24MP CMOS APS-C sensor with copper wiring, 425-point on-sensor phase-detection AF system, 11 fps continuous shooting (8fps continuous live view), 4K video capture up to 100 Mbps, Max ISO of 51200, and Phase-detect AF compatible with A-mount lenses via LA-EA3 adapter. It able to record a video up to 4K with its 20MP (6K) sensor that offers 2.4 oversampled 4K video with full pixel readout. Which Makes it 4K video beast for the price. Couple months after the release of A6300 from Sony Malaysia, the company decided to announce an "upgraded" version with the A6500. Although the A6500 isn't marketed to replace the A6300, most of the user would struggle to choose between these two cameras. The A6500 is pretty much the same like the A6300 but with some improvements. It still uses the same 24 Megapixel APSC sensor, it shoots 4K video and the same 425 phase-detect AF point system.
