Sony CAS-1, a compact Hi-Res audio system for your music pleasure

The Sony CAS-1 is a new Hi-Res compact desktop audio system by Sony for music lovers all around, it is capable of producing exquisite audio detail and suits those who want to experience high-quality music they desire. Equipped with dual amplifiers and a main unit which can be adjusted through settings, the goal of such design is to deliver the ultimate sound quality according to the user’s preference. It’s available in Malaysia from December 2015 onwards at Sony Stores and www.sony.com.my for RM4199.

The system is able to deliver your music collection in beyond CD quality, as the system supports Hi-Res Audio in both DSD and PCM formats, including FLAC, WAV or AIFF files of up to 24bit/192kHz quality. The Sony DSEE HX technology can be used to upscale compressed audio files, such as MP3, to near Hi-Res Audio quality, thus releasing a rich and full-bodied sound.

The CAS-1’s dual amplifiers can also act as an independent speaker, each of which is tailored towards the specific requirements of speakers or headphones. Inside it, lies a Sony S-Master HX Hi-Res Audio amplifier supported by a bass reflex port,  that can enhance the sound by reducing noise and distortion. even when listening at close range. And together with the headphone amplifier with a built-in Sony’s DAC from PHA-2 that contributes hi-res audio, these components allow the CAS-1 to produce a balanced, powerful and precise sound.

CAS-1 can be connected through Bluetooth, NFC, and your smartphone via Song SongPal app. Two USB (USB-A and USB-B) ports are also available for Hi-Res Audio format playback.
