Sony Malaysia officially announced the FDR-X3000R and HDR-AS300R action cams featuring Balanced Optical SteadyShot (BOSS) image stabilization even in 4k and high speed recording modes. Waterproof up to 60m and featuring a new 1/2.5 type 8.2MP Exmor R sensor with BIONZ X processor and ZIESS wide-angle lens, the FDR-X300R is for the 4K video recorders while the HDR-AS300R offers full HD video recording. Both are mountable and work with the Live-View Remote which in turn allows you to control up to 5 cameras at a time.
Other details include the ability to capture 4K video recording at 100 Mbps, Full HD at 50Mbps in XAVC S and 120p in Full HD. The HDR-AS300R lets you shoot 120p in HD for impressive slow-motion footage while the stereo mic has Wind Noise Reduction as well. A number of accessories such as compact stabilizer and transforming tripod to monopod stick are also available. Both models and their accessories will be available in Sony stores in Malaysia from October 2016.
