Sony Malaysia has announced the launch of a special collaboration model of its wireless noise-cancelling stereo headset, LinkBuds Fit, in partnership with virtual pop star Hatsune Miku.

Starting today, 8 August (Friday), only 50 units of this limited-edition set will be available exclusively at the Sony Store in BBCC Lalaport, Kuala Lumpur.

The LinkBuds Fit is designed to keep users connected to their surroundings while delivering immersive sound. It combines high-performance noise cancellation with natural ambient sound capture, allowing users to hear important sounds like voices and traffic without removing the earbuds.

Key highlights include:

  • Automatic ambient sound control, adjusting levels based on user activity
  • Closed-type wireless design for a secure and comfortable fit
  • Ideal for music, video, or daily communication use

This model continues the LinkBuds series' concept of blending real-life awareness with digital audio experiences.

What’s in the Hatsune Miku collaboration box?

Each limited-edition set includes:

  • A pair of LinkBuds Fit (in black, white, or green)
  • An exclusive Hatsune Miku "Holomodel" digital figure (AR)
  • An acrylic stand featuring a new illustration of Hatsune Miku

It is important to note that the earbuds and charging case do not have any printed or engraved Hatsune Miku branding. The collaboration is focused on the bundled digital and physical collectables.

AR digital figure experience

Buyers will receive a special app to access two original AR digital figures of Hatsune Miku, created by illustrator Ogipote, along with the original campaign song "BELIEVE DAY." Using the app, users can view Miku performing in augmented reality, interact with the figures, and take AR photos in real-world locations.

The download instructions and access details will be sent to purchasers via email starting mid-August 2025. If you are interested, pre-orders start now from RM999. The Hatsune Miku model will be available in 3 colours - Black, White and Green.
