Sony has brought in two wireless speakers lineup - the SRS-XB3 and SRS-XB2 Portable Wireless Speakers that is dedicated to delivering deep bass sounds at outdoors and on the move. Weighing just 930g, it's small enough to carry around and with a battery life of 24 hours of continuous wireless use, it's currently RM339 (XB2) & RM499 (XB3) at Sony Stores (The Curve & KLCC), selected Sony Centres and www.sony.com.my.
The XB2, the smaller brother of the XB3 is a palm-sized design weighing just 480g but encompasses a newly developed 42mm gauge full range speaker unit. Its extra strong magnets deliver a pure bass sound and the lightweight diaphragm improves sound pressure levels. The XB2 also houses Sony’s DSP and passive radiator which can deliver higher acoustic pressure and punchier bass notes than ever heard in a compact size.
The XB3, on the other hand, provides a 'punchier' bass for its small size. These include a newly developed 48mm large full range speaker unit, Sony’s unique DSP which dynamically applies the optimal compression process to suit each level of a track, a large capacity battery to achieve stable, significant output power and dual passive radiators to augment the bass ranges.
Both wireless speakers have multiple usage options, for example, the two speakers can use 'Speaker Add' function for even more powerful sound; Double mode will play music back through two speakers simultaneously and Stereo mode will play the music in stereo.
In addition, they are also water resistant and a four hours recharge of the battery provides approximately 12 hours of continuous wireless use, the devices can be connected to your smartphone or music device to the speaker via NFC one-touch Bluetooth.
